Pete Schommer

Pete has over twenty-five years of experience in the medical device industry. He has led highly successful teams for Kendall Healthcare, U.S. Surgical, Tyco Healthcare, Covidien, and Medtronic. He’s led Logistics, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Marketing teams at the Senior Director and Vice President levels. 

Pete is the Founder and CEO of Surgenti Consulting LLC, a strategic advisory company helping VC and PE backed medical device companies by providing coaching, mentoring, strategic advice, and access to a network of experts. Pete is a Board Member of Relavo, an early-stage medical device company developing a solution to help kidney failure patients live longer and better lives.

Since 2006, Pete has been an adjunct faculty member at the University of Connecticut, teaching a survey course in Operations Management. He graduated with Honors and with Merit from the US Naval Academy, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. He has a Master’s in History from Norwich University and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut, and is a student fellow in to the university’s Hall of Fame. Since 1999, he’s maintained his Certification in Production and Inventory Management from APICS.
