Mark H. Schneider

Mark H. Schneider has been an angel investor since 1999, and is Chairman Emeritus of New York Angels (www.newyorkangels.com). Mark’s angel group memberships have also included Angel Investor Forum (www.angelinvestorforum.com) where he was a member of the board, Mid-Atlantic Bioangels (www.bioangels.net ) and Golden Seeds (www.goldenseeds.com). In addition to serving on a number of portfolio company boards, he also co-manages New York Angel’s side-car funds. 

His portfolio has included more than 100 companies over a wide range of interests including, medical technology, health information systems, infrastructure software, B2B SAAS and industrial products. Prior to becoming an angel investor, Mark was founder and CEO of a group of B2B software companies (The Opus-Core Corporation, Opus-ISM LLC and Opus Health LLC) which provided software, systems, and transaction services to the pharmaceutical fulfillment industry. Under his leadership, the company grew from zero to 100 employees culminating in a successful exit.    Mark holds a Master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology/Sloan School of Management (1978), a Master’s degree in Engineering from MIT (1977) and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University (1976).
